Tomorrow we go to our final day of training for our foster parenting license. All we will have to do after that is meet with our case-worker one more time so that she can "interview" the kids, do a safety-check of the house, and we'll have to get a fire inspection of the house from our fire dept. All the house stuff has to happen After our addition is completed. We've been trying to get it done for 2 reasons; our fostering AND deer season! Bow hunting season starts on the 27th and Mgrace and her daddy are VERY excited about it this year! Mgrace has been practicing with her bow just about every night.
Back to the fostering! ;-) We were talking about it one afternoon not so long ago with my parents, and I mentioned that it is hard to stop doing a ministry that you feel somewhat "successful" in doing, in order to do another ministry you feel God calling you to do, in which you're not so sure you'll be all that "successful" at! My dad piped up and said, "Success is measured by your obedience, not in what society may think is 'successful'" He went on to say that just because something looks "successful" by the world's standards it doesn't mean it is. And something may not look successful but actually is in God's eyes! He's a pretty smart cookie! I'm glad he's my dad!
~"It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him." ~Deut. 13:4
"Trust and obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey!"
