Paper-work and hodge-podge of other stuff!

We are completely done with our foster parenting paper-work! We should be licensed today or tomorrow. Then we wait for a phone call. As much as we want to do this, wouldn't it be great if we didn't get a call!....Wouldn't it be great if NO ONE got a call! That would mean that kids were staying with their parents because things were the way they're supposed to be.

I've had a couple of people ask me about the foster parenting paper-work. It's completely different from CC's adoption. We completed his paper-work a year ago and sent it to Haiti. We heard from our lawyer last week that she still doesn't have CC's birth certificate which means we haven't really begun the legal process yet for his adoption. This was a pretty big let-down for us. But we knew it could be a long wait. It's just hard to wrap your mind around why sometimes. So we wait and ask for that "peace that passes all understanding."

CC still hasn't got his umbilical hernia surgery. Thank God it isn't any type of emergency and can wait.

We had a guest speaker at church this Sunday talk about the lady who poured perfume on Jesus' feet. She used the whole bottle...not just a drop or two...which would've been much more "acceptable." She did a crazy thing for Jesus...a whole year's salary "wasted" at the feet of Jesus. He challenged us to use our time, talents, and treasures in a "whole bottle" way for Jesus too. A crazy way. She did it not to just get the label "crazy" but because her heart was overflowing with love for her Savior.

School awaits and so do the chickens! =) Kfaith switched chores with me this week..she's doing dish duty...I get to feed the animals and listen to our roosters try to learn to "cock-a-doodle-doo!"
